We developed crash simulation tools using MATLAB and ANSYS, where user can simulate car crash using the pre-designed impact attenuator. The impact attenuator works to attenuate the acceleration response, to protect the passenger. With this simulation tools, users are able to perform analysis of impact absorbing structure faster than using the FEA simulation suite. Thus, this simulation tools is useful in the design of impact absorbing structure.
